The metamorphosis of a butterfly is truly spectacular to witness. The worm, a consumer, keeps devouring resources, but at a certain genetic set point that worm enters the chrysalis. This is a prison season where every part of the worm is torn apart and re-arranged, and something new is formed. Then the butterfly is released to pollinate the world. This is a mystical parable that can be likened to the journey we undergo.
There is a season of refinement we must all undergo to mature and grow. Many people harden their hearts and turn away from God. However, those who decide to reach for healing in their time of solitude will find that God was working things out for their benefit. You see without pain we cannot learn, and without pain there would be no need for God. He is the Healer (Raphael) and the Creator of the heavens and the earth.
Hi! My name is Jan-Roux, but please call me Jan (It’s like John in South Africa). I would like to invite you to walk with me through the wilderness where you will discover who you are, and who God is. The world has turned us all into consumers, and this has defiled our homes by turning us into lovers of power and gold. Turning back to the Original Design is not comfortable, but once you have, you will experience freedom.
The soul quest that I’ll be taking you on is metaphysical in nature. The words I share with you are inspired through the love of God’s heart for you to strengthen you in areas you cannot reach with physical efforts. Therefore I simply ask that you are present when reading the content I have been commissioned to share with you. Every moment you step into holds a lesson for the next, so pay close attention on this soul quest.
HOW TO: TRANSFORM YOUR SOUL
God wants to speak to your soul and restore you. Invite His Words to edify and transform you. As it is written, “Set your mind on things in heaven, and not on earth. Set your minds on things above, not on carnal things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” There is much more to this than mere Bible stories.
The Metamorphosis of a Butterfly
The metamorphosis of a butterfly is a process of transformation or change. Two types of metamorphosis is found in nature. Grasshoppers, dragonflies, and cockroaches will all undergo a incomplete metamorphosis. Butterflies, moths, and bees all undergo a complete metamorphosis as they no longer stay consumers.
Eggs are set on the leaves of plants by the female butterfly from early spring till mid-summer. Plant leaves are the primary source of food for hatching caterpillars. The job of the caterpillar is to eat and eat and eat. Caterpillars can grow 100 times their size during this stage. When the caterpillar is fully grown, it will stop eating and enter the pupa phase, also known as the chrysalis. This stage can last for several months.
It may look like nothing is going on, but big changes are happening inside that prison cell. Specialized cells that were present in the larva are now growing rapidly. They will form the legs, wings, eyes and other parts of the adult butterfly. The original larva cells will be used (broken down) for energy for the “butterfly cells”.
The caterpillar’s job is to be a consumer. The adult’s job is to be a producer and multiplier of good seed. Butterflies get their energy by feeding on nectar, but some species don’t feed at all. Butterflies live only one or two weeks, but in this short time they can bring joy and beauty to the world around us. May the butterfly, or the bee inspire you to stop and smell the roses. Just don’t get stung. God made them to direct us to Him.
Human Metamorphosis: Emergence
As part of the blog covering the parable behind metamorphosis I will take you through everything related to the core of my message, and that includes the story of a young girl who lost herself to sex and drugs in an attempt to satisfy her souls desire for love and comfort in a world that offers only temporary relief in the form of ecstasy and control. The physical changes this girl undergoes reveals the depravity of her soul.
This sad life story was turned into hentai manga (anime porn) and this clearly depicts the deep darkness that surrounds the life of this young woman and the dark world we live in today. It’s a reality we must face. It’s not something you want to go searching for on the web, and you most definitely don’t want that kind of “Ju-Ju” (energy) in your browser history or home. However, we can’t turn a blind eye to the reality many are facing in this world, because it can happen to your children too. We must be vigilant and love them well.
In the end this girl dies of a heroin overdose while carrying her unborn child. She is the poster-child for the man of sin revealed to us in the Bible. There is no hope for those who follow her; their end is filled with pain. It’s like that chrysalis was smashed before the butterfly even had a chance to escape. The environment was “unloving” and “unforgiving”. This happens to thousands of young people in the world today. They Suffer…
This carnal problem did not originate with the next generation or our youth. It started with us, with parents, with our parents, and their parents. Those who are suffering today are simply in that position as the result of their actions, a lack mentality perhaps, and the desire for more feel good vibes. We are born as consumers.
However, parents who act like worms will pass those genes onto their kids and they will forever be stuck in a loop where they walk in circles like the Israelites did. The chrysalis season is a time for reflection, change, wisdom, character, and all things of God. First we must learn how to be strong and break free from sin.
As it is written, “To be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind wars against God: it is not subject to the law of God. Those are in the flesh cannot please God. But you brothers and sisters are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.”
Human Metamorphosis: Caterpillar
We all have to grow up some time don’t we? But in most cases people don’t “grow up”, they merely undergo an incomplete metamorphosis, like cockroaches. You see this with men and women in their 40’s and even in their 50’s who run around like headless chickens for the next high, the next job promotion, an idol in the sky.
Consuming more than you need can blind you into thinking your ways are stable and things are going well. But you might be neglecting your kids, and when things don’t go your way you get emotional, even angered like a adult having a tantrum. Think about what I’m referring to, your emotional response reveals everything.
Psychology research indicates that more and more adults are presenting emotionally immature behavior. The theory is that when things in life get too much to handle, most adults will regress back to their inner child to seek safety and comfort, and this can look like a total disregard for personal responsibilities.
In others the pain they experience as a direct or indirect result of their actions can trigger emotional disturbances like depression and anger. In the majority of people the prolonged exposure to these emotional disturbances can lead to hardened hearts; and the numbing of pain with sex or drugs.
The Prophet Isaiah wrote, “Go and tell this people. Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving. ‘Render the hearts of this people insensitive, make their ears dull, and their eyes dim. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and return to God where they will be healed.’”
Human Metamorphosis: Butterfly
The metamorphosis of a butterfly is truly a beautiful sight to witness, and there’s so much wisdom to be found in this miracle of life. Just like butterflies we all need to journey through life as both the consumer and the producer, both the child and the parent, and if we do this right and we learn from our mistakes, then we will make it out on the other side ascended high, and glorified with Christ who is the Alpha and Omega.
In the garden of Eden we read about Adam and Eve who reached for that 1 forbidden fruit in an attempt to be like God, knowing both good and evil, and they fell from grace when they noticed their own nakedness. Sin entered the world through a lie, and acting on this lie caused the greatest loss in our spiritual lives. Regressing back to the animal nature, disconnected from God filled us with fear, shame, and jealousy.
Jesus Christ is the Archetype who was sent to undo what we did, and restore God’s Original Design, the image of God, the man and wife who are spiritually cleansed and circumcised (cutting away of the flesh). Your soul might have been defiled, broken, and even stolen by the enemy, the old cunning serpent who started the first lie. It’s time to turn back to God’s Original Design as you are restored; open your ears.
If you grew up reaching for that forbidden fruit, and if your choices caused pain and suffering in your life and the lives of the ones you love, then you know far too well what I’m talking about. This fight is not unfamiliar to you, and ignorance won’t save you. God is calling you to purity and unity as He puts His Spirit in you.
As it is written, “I will cleanse you from all your impurities and all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes and to carefully observe My ordinances. I will be your God.”
The Soul Quest of Man
When I was 7 years old I believe I heard the audible voice of God. My mother also recalls the evening I ran to hear with awe-struct-wonder and a certain level of fear and trembling. God said, “Let the Butterfly go!”, and I did, I opened my window and emptied the jar without hesitation. But there was so much more to it.
It’s only at 33 that I’ve come to the maturity to understand and see what He was trying to show me and teach me that night. This blog post is only a sneak peak of the message I have been asked to share. We grow up in a broken world that requires of us to show empathy, compassion, and to care for those who don’t have the strength to care for themselves. We are conduits of God’s goodness and if we harden ourselves and turn our backs on this calling to love and give freely, then we will lose sight of Jesus.
Your soul is valued above all the gold in the world. God experienced mutilation and death to emphasize, and glorify His Name and Word, and through His great sacrifice He opened our eyes to the message of God and the command to love, forgive, and set free. Jesus also to give us new eyes as He heals us from the past. You are called to be a producer. Let God into your heart. The Holy Spirit will be leading you (John 3:8).
As it is written, “He who unites himself with God is One with Him in Spirit.”
