Top Secret Mission #9: Spirit

When I started my walk with Christ I came to understand that we are Spirit (like God), and we live in a physical body (like Jesus), and we have beautiful souls (personalities). The Bible goes on to say that we cannot see the Kingdom of God unless we are born again, not of the will of man (the lust of the flesh), but of the will of God through the Holy Spirit and water (Baptism = Gateway).

Look at the images depicted through the scriptures. Noah build an ark after God commanded Him to, then God washed away all the filth that filled the earth, 40 days and 40 nights (Season of Change), and then He started over. Moses was commanded by God to lead the Israelites out of Egypt (slavery) and through the red sea (Blood of Jesus). They travelled for 40 years before they could enter into the promised land.

Jesus Christ came and said, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth, go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” God also said, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”

“The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” – Exodus 14:14

WALKING IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

God commanded us to be Holy, for He is Holy (see scriptures). This is merely impossible without the Spirit of Jesus Christ. The Word of God says, “Not by might, nor by power, but only by the Spirit of Christ will you succeed.” When Jesus was baptized by John the Spirit of Christ came upon Him like a dove filled with Fire and He took Jesus into the wilderness where He was baptized with Fire. His faith was put to the test.

Jesus fasted from all bodily desires, even to the point of death. This is what it means to be in Christ, and it’s a radical thing that only a few people will ever understand. Why do I say this? Well, we simply love comfort way too much. We want to feel good, and experience pleasure at all times of the day. The church won’t help if it’s uncomfortable. We don’t want to bleed of feel persecuted for speaking about the truth, for rebuking the enemy with God’s Words, and for filling every vessel on earth with the Holy Ghost – Multiply Christ

Jesus Christ died on the cross to give us something of more value than the worlds gold or Bible teachings. As it is written, “But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Holy Spirit (Helper) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. And when He comes, He will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment.” – John 16:7 (The Holy Spirit does the work.)

Without the crucifixion and resurrection there would be no power in the message of the cross and Christ. Jesus died to Himself saying “It is done” as He poured out His Spirit for all of creation. For you to fully grasp what I am saying you need to know when the Isrealites where baptized in the red sea they were being led by Moses as the intercessor, and none of them received God’s Spirit. They kept looking back at what they had in Egypt, and they kept sinning, having orgies, and they worshipped a golden calf. Sounds like us…

Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again” – John 3:3

RECEIVING THE HOLY SPIRIT

All the events leading up to Jesus Christ on that cross was a shadow (foreshadow) of greater things to come. God understood that without His Holy Spirit we would continue living in sin. Jesus paid the price for your sins yes, but then He continues with these words, “Go and sin no more.” The new age church doesn’t like that because they want to live in the grace to indulge in the flesh, and the things of the world.

The apostle Paul writes, “What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.” Jesus answered them, “Truly I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.

This is a warning to you, and to other believers. If you are a fool like the foolish virgin, then God will come like a thief in the night, and He will pour out His wrath on you and the rest of humanity for mocking Him. For God promised to never floor the earth again (The Rainbow), but God said nothing about Fire (Armageddon).

Jesus said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.”

INVITE THE HOLY SPIRIT

Repentance is a systematic process whereby you venture into the wilderness in faith, trusting God to lead you to a better place. No longer a slave of your animal nature, and no longer bound to the limitations of this physical dimension. When you are born of the Holy Spirit you will be led by the Holy Spirit (John 3:8) and not be the influences of mankind, the desire for money, and the fear of missing out, for God is faithful.

God says if we call upon Him with sincere hearts He will come quicker than you can say “Here I am.” Therefore the process of inviting Him into your life starts with an invitation. The salvation prayer does that. “Father forgive me for I have sinned against You, thank You for sending your Son in the flesh to die in my place, and thank you for raising Him from the dead to give me new life. Jesus please come into my life and lead me like the good Shepherd that you are. Cleanse me of all unrighteousness and give me a new identity as a Saint, as a heir to Your Kingdom. Give me a new Spirit, your Spirit, to comfort me and heal me. Amen.

If you’ve done this with an upright heart and you choose to believe in the power of God, then you will also find that you will start to experience something known as “conviction” as the Spirit of God reveals things to you that you need to change, as He teaches you to feed those who are in need, and as He transforms your inner being to become more like Him, God’s Nature. He who begun a good work in you will complete it.
