Top Secret Mission #3: Progress

Good morning soldier, the top secret mission I have for you this week,
if you choose to accept, is to slow down. Take note of how fast you eat.
Gluttony leads to indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome, and weight gain.

Think about this for a moment. If you are working on task A, but you really want to work on C, and you run to B while you should really be focused on A, then you will make mistakes that influence C.

Do you understand what I mean?

If you eat fast, you are not at peace. You are so used to the anxious pace of this world, and it shows. You are like a city that never sleeps. When your eyes open you have to consume, you have to “eat”.

The human body was never designed to work like this, like a robot that never shuts off, and this goes for the internal processes as much as the external ones. Your body needs time to rest and cleanse.

Digestion is a process not many truly understand, and it’s an important part of our overall wellbeing. If your gut is unhealthy you will likely be unhealthy too, and that’s why we need to become aware.

Your body is God’s Temple, an intricate design, of more value than a fancy sports car. If you don’t put quality “fuel” in the tank how do you expect to perform at your best? You won’t feel too great.

Progress is Non-Linear

What goes up must come down, and that goes for all things in life, even to Jesus Christ. When you change your ways, your habits, and what you eat, it’s like an elastic band that you’re pulling back.

You will get cravings, you will think about things you used to, and you won’t be too comfortable. However, if you apply the mind over matter concept, and you just do it, stick to it, and work hard, then you will see the “manifestation” (cause & effect) of your faith-based actions. (Galatians 6:7)

It’s vital to understand how progress works. When you have no experience in a certain field, like “walking”, you can expect to fall down a few times before you finally overcome the resistance.

When we change our ways to do things God’s Way the same thing will likely happen. We will fall short of the glory of God, and we will understand we are fragile and a work of art (in progress).

YOUR NEXT MISSION

God is the painter, and if you allow Him to, He will guide you to learn things, master techniques, visualize new things, and believe in the possibility of faith-based actions. You have been blessed with the free will to ask, seek, and find. Dedicate your time to look for the good portion in life. Find Christ.
