Top Secret Mission #5: Self-Control

The secret to self-control is to stop before you’re full. Many people think they need to follow a certain diet plan or track their calories, and those things work, but could there be a better way?

Yes. There is something called ‘Intuitive Eating’, and it has everything to do with self-awareness. Feeling and knowing what works for you, and what doesn’t. Eating only until you’re 80% satisfied.

Living more like a hippy than a glutton.

AS IT IS WRITTEN, “PUT A KNIFE TO YOUR THROAT IF YOU ARE GIVEN TO GLUTTONY.”

Once you’ve mastered ‘Slowing Down’, you will be ready to take the next step and that is to be intuitive (Spirit-led). How satisfied are you really while you’re eating? Your body is an organism with many feedback loops. If you really listen, you will know when you’re satisfied, when you’re stuffed, and what foods cause pain and inflammation in your gut. Your body can naturally regulate itself.

If you know how to control your desire for more and deny yourself when you are 80% full, you will see great results. To gain muscle we need to eat 10 – 20% more food than we are comfortable with, which means when you would normally stop, add a bit more. The same goes for fat loss. If you want to lose weight, stop eating just before your tank is 100% full. This week you will tune in and listen to your body talking. At the end of this body transformation program you will receive the wisdom and power to walk into a new life with full authority. So, allow the information shared to really sink in.

You don’t need a diet plan. Life is unpredictable and being ‘prepared for the UNKNOWN’ is to have a disciplined soul. God’s heart wins in any situation, and with every temptation. This week see if you can stop yourself when you know the choice you’re about to make will not be congruent with the goals you have set for the vision you keep in your heart. The Bible says, “Let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ Anything more comes from the evil one.” If you need anything like prayer or an ear, we will only be an email, text message, or phone call away, please reach out if you’re struggling.

All of us start in the pit, and we all need some support to help us get out of it.

The Mission: Learn to be satisfied with less. Just Smile.

Even if you’re homeless and rejected, just be CONTENT. As it is written, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.”
